The New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts was formed to educate, motivate and recognize business support of and participation in the arts.  Support is provided by a membership of more than 80 businesses. Through the programs it has developed and maintained, it has:
  • Identified and placed more than 100 business people with expertise in finance, law, insurance, information systems, marketing and human resources to projects and boards of directors of more than 50 arts organizations. Business Resources for the Arts.

  • Established Lawyers for the Arts / New Hampshire which, since its founding in 1991, has referred more than 100 artists and arts organizations to attorneys who provided hundreds of hours of legal assistance on a reduced or no fee basis.  More than 300 attorneys were on the resource list. Also conducted nine Continuing Legal Education credit-approved seminars on arts/related legal issues which were attended by 300 attorneys. In 2004 LA/NH established a partnership with Franklin Pierce Law Center's faculty supervised student clinic. This program is for New Hampshire artists and arts organizations only.

  • Now available in the Resources section of this site, produced a booklet, Guide to Non Profit Incorporation, which has been requested by and distributed to approximately 2,000 individuals and organizations.

  • Developed ArtSavers, an online discount ticket program that promotes audience development at arts events for member companies, resulting in thousands of tickets purchased by member company employees.

  • Showcased more than 100 performing and visual artists, recognized more than 700 nominees and named 100 business and leadership winners through the annual Business in the Arts Awards.
