Business In The Arts 2008 Business Nomination Form

Individuals, businesses and representatives of arts organizations may nominate a New Hampshire business for the Business in the Arts Awards 2008. Businesses are also welcome to nominate themselves for an award. To be eligible for consideration, nominations must be based on a company's demonstrated support of the arts.

Please submit one nomination per form (submission). To nominate more than one company, you may complete and submit another online form. Word processor users may address these questions on separate sheets using the same format, then mail or email them to NHBCA (arts@NHBCA.com). You may find it helpful to refer to the outlined criteria.

All nominations must be received in the NHBCA offices by February 1, 2008.

Please answer the following questions as completely as possible, but do not be concerned if you do not know the answer to every question or if every question does not apply. Simply provide as much information as you are able so the judges will have a solid basis on which to evaluate. You will find it helpful to refer to the outlined criteria in the accompanying Award Criteria. Consideration will be given to those businesses which have had significant impact on the arts either through a variety of activities in 2007 (question 1) or through a single project of sufficient magnitude (question 2) or both. Businesses nominated by arts organizations will be asked by the NHBCA to provide supplementary information.

  1. Summary/description of company's overall, total arts support in 2007. Specify any innovative or unusual aspects. (If this nomination is meant only to highlight one specific project, you may skip this question and go to the next question.)
  2. If this nomination involves a special project you want to highlight, please describe the project and include details about the support.
  3. The visibility of the arts program(s). Include what was noteworthy, its impact, who initiated and/or how many people were reached or involved.
  4. Participation of company employees. Include in-kind support and volunteer services.
  5. Total dollars in 2007 contributed in support of the arts (optional).
  6. Estimated market value of in-kind product or services.
  7. Why does the company support the arts? (Include philosophic and business reasons.)
  8. How are the arts incorporated into the company's corporate culture? (Consider corporate art collections, employee programs, matching gift programs, etc.)
  9. Other factors.
  10. To ensure that we have received your nomination, we will follow up within 5 business days with an email confirmation of our receipt of your nomination.
