BUSINESS IN THE ARTS AWARDS 27 th ANNUAL GALA MAY 16The 27 th annual Business in the Arts Awards will be held Monday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Center of New Hampshire – Radisson Hotel in Manchester. Sponsored by the New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts, the gala will honor the thirty-one New Hampshire businesses nominated for this year’s awards. The evening highlights a celebration of business support for the arts and entertains with a performance showcase of drama, literature and music. The grand finale is the announcement of the Award winners. Kevin Flynn, journalist and author, is the master of ceremonies for the festivities. The performers include the Manchester Community Music School faculty trio Infinities, “The Impossible Dream” scene and music from Man of La Mancha by the Seacoast Repertory Theatre, author Howard Mansfield and the men’s a cappella quartet Breakaway. More arts features include a cultural trivia quiz show with lucky contestants winning baskets filled with goodies from New Hampshire’s cultural organizations, table centerpieces by the Sharon Art Center and the award prizes by painter Melissa Miller. The thirty businesses were nominated for their sponsorships, employee volunteerism, and donations of products and services in support of the arts. The winners in each of four categories will be announced during the evening.
